Homes of Hope began in 2004 during a mission retreat at First Presbyterian Church in Albemarle, NC. After much discussion and research, they identified the increasing need of transitional housing and emergency shelter. Homes of Hope, Inc. was incorporated in spring of 2005 with the support of many community churches and volunteers. By 2009 the Community Inn Emergency overnight shelter was established in partnership with Stanly Community Christian Ministries and the Stanly Baptist Association. Homes of Hope now operates the Community Inn as a 20-bed overnight emergency shelter as well as 10 Transitional Homes throughout Stanly County.
To support our unhoused neighbors in our community through transitional housing, emergency housing, case management, resource connections and skill acquisition. To enable individuals and families to gain independence.
We have numbers that push us to give in our best and make sure that we break our own records. We are happy to be growing and helping more day by day.
